Hi Curl Friends! I’m Karrington — a licensed cosmetologist and passionate curl care specialist devoted to honoring the beauty of wavy, curly, and coily hair.
My journey into specializing in textured hair came from both personal experience and what I saw missing in the industry: a space where natural hair is not only understood, but celebrated.
Too often, clients with textured hair walk into salons unsure if they’ll be truly cared for, unsure if their hair will be handled with patience, knowledge, or respect.
I’ve made it my mission to change that.
At Knot Just Curly, my goal is to create an experience that’s more than just a service — it’s a moment of empowerment, education, and ease.
I don’t just cut or style hair. I guide, I teach, and I help you reconnect with your natural texture in a way that feels aligned, sustainable, and confident.
Every curl is different, and every client deserves a tailored approach that fits your texture, lifestyle, and goals.
Currently, I work out of Lavish Salon in Crown Point, Indiana, where I’ve built a cozy, welcoming space within the space — a place where your hair story is heard and supported from start to finish. Whether you’re transitioning to natural, starting fresh with a big chop, or just want to maintain the health of your hair, I meet you exactly where you are, and walk with you every step of the way.
This work is deeply personal to me. Every client who sits in my chair becomes part of a movement to normalize and uplift natural hair in all its forms. I believe in real education, transparent conversations, and results you can recreate at home, not just good hair for the day.
